The mandate of NAAC as reflected in its vision statement is in making quality assurance an integral part of the functioning of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).<\/p>
With a vision to make quality the defining element of higher education in India through a combination of self and external quality evaluation, promotion, and sustenance initiatives; it has added new essence to its process of assessment and accreditation in tune with local, regional, and global changes in higher education scenarios with a focus to enhance the accreditation process for a robust, objective, transparent, scalable, and ICT-enabled accreditation process.<\/p>
NAAC has been assessing the quality and accreditation of HEIs over the last two decades.<\/p>
